We are proud to announce that Matthew Bell has joined the team as Farm Feeds Manager.

Matthew, an AMTRA R-SQP for 15 years, has aways had a passion for animal health and welfare, with a focus on nutrition to support long term health and production. An advocate of ‘Forage First’, Matthew truly understands the importance of high quality forage in the animals diet; “Whether ruminant, monogastric or hindgut fermenter, the health of the gut is a key player in the overall health and performance of the animal and the right forage is a vital part of optimising the digestive system which in turn will optimise production” shares Matthew, “Dengie’s expertise in nutrient dense lucerne and the health and welfare benefits associated with it, which are increasingly being recognised, mean it’s an exciting time to be joining the team.  It’s time to shout about the wonderful legume that is lucerne!”.

Matthew’s role involves managing the sales and promotion of Dengie’s  lucerne-based products for ruminants and poultry, as well as offering nutritional and product support for both new and longstanding customers. He will also be attending industry shows and events and developing new business across the livestock sector. “I love to learn about individual farm productions and their challenges, as well as sharing my passion for pro-active feeding. I hope to see both new and existing customers on farm, in store or at a show, in the near future”.

In his spare time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his cherished pets (Margot, Ethel, Philip and Clover), walks through the countryside, wood working, and has a passion for skiing and snowboarding.
